Our Trips

We offer 2 kinds of photography trips - group departures, as well as private itineraries and workshops.

Our group photography trips are based around specific themes or events - be it subjects, regions or festivals. The entire itinerary is designed to maximize the photo opportunities around that theme - we have done our research on best locations, times and places, so all you need to do is focus on the photography. We also keep group sizes small: this means more enjoyable group dynamics and more importantly, ensures excellent photographic opportunities for everyone.

Our photo trips are custom designed based on your preferences. To arrange a photo tour, please let us know your preferred dates, number of people in the group, interests, desired destination(s) and type of activities preferred, and we will get back to you with a custom designed itinerary. Or you can start with one our itineraries listed below, and modify it as per your needs.

Some of our more popular itineraries are as follows:

4 DAY INTRODUCTORY WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP:

This 4 day wildlife photography workshop is conducted at Ranthambore National Park, and is geared towards beginner wildlife photographers. Topics include: making the most of your equipment, specific techniques for wildlife photography, long lens/low light photography with moving subjects, understanding animal behavior and fieldcraft skills.

4 DAY INTERMEDIATE WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP:

This 4 day wildlife photography workshop is conducted at Ranthambore National Park, and is geared towards intermediate wildlife photographers. Topics will include long lens techniques, using flash extenders, compositional elements of wildlife photography and learning to anticipate animal behavior for more dynamic shots. This workshop is a great follow-up to the Introductory workshop.

15 DAY WILDLIFE EXPLORER PHOTOGRAPHY SAFARI:

This 15 day wildlife safari visits Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh & Kanha NPs and Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary - four of the best parks in India. Along with daily morning and afternoon game drives (or elephant back safaris), we will also have discussions with park naturalists, local environmental NGOs and conservationists. Photo Safari India contributes a percentage of the revenue from this tour to environmentalist groups whose unceasing efforts are what keeps the tiger and other animals from going extinct.

7 DAY TIGER TRAILS SAFARI:

This 7 day wildlife safari visits Bandhavgarh and Kanha national parks - two of the best places to photograph tigers. Along with daily morning and afternoon game drives, we will also watch videos and slide shows on local wildlife and conservation efforts. Here too, Photo Safari India contributes a percentage of the revenue from the tour to environmentalist groups which are operating in the region..

9 DAY AFRICAN BIG GAME PHOTO SAFARI (outbound):

This outbound lodge and camping photo safari visits Masai Mara, Nakuru & Samburu National Parks and offers a great chance to photograph Africa's Big Five (and more) from way up close. Small group sizes, expert guides and an emphasis on capturing unique images make this trip ideal for photographers as well as wildlife lovers who value detailed observations.

12 DAY BEST OF LADAKH:

This jeep safari covers the best of Manali, Lahaul, Spiti and Ladakh: breath-taking vistas, towering peaks, verdant valleys, high-altitude deserts, icy lakes, weatherworn monasteries and an ages-old culture.

14 DAY RAJASTHAN SOJOURN:

During this jeep safari, we will visit the the sensory feast that is Rajasthan: stark desert landscapes, old forts, deciduous forests, tiger sanctuaries and
an abundance of color and culture.

10 DAY HIMALAYAN EXPLORER :

This jeep safari includes a trip through the Singhalila National Park, from where you can photograph awe-inspiring vistas of Kanchendzonga, rare orchids, misty forests and, if you are lucky, some Himalayan wildlife.
