Held annually during the week leading up to the first full moon of November, the Pushkar Camel Fair, despite its fame, remains an event worth experiencing, with as many as fifty thousand camels and cattle, and an equal number of people converging to this small, otherwise-sleepy town.
If you like people photography or street photography, or want to experience a truly amazing spectacle which, despite the tourist presence, still remains true to its spirit, then you owe it to yourself to experience the Pushkar Camel Fair. And who knows - you may even get a good deal on camels there (I was offered 20 camels for my camera system once).
Photo Safari India runs private trips to the Pushkar Camel Fair - please contact us for more info.
